C. Harper Truck Center in Belle Vernon is looking for experienced Heavy Duty / Diesel Technicians and Mechanics to join one of the region's established commercial truck service operations.

This isn't a passenger-car technician position.

We're looking for experienced technicians who understand diesel engines, commercial trucks, medium- and heavy-duty equipment, electrical systems, diagnostics and major mechanical repair.

WORK IN A SERIOUS HEAVY-DUTY FACILITY

C. Harper Truck Center is equipped to handle demanding commercial and heavy-duty work, including:

• 30 service bays

• Heavy-duty vehicle lifts

• Advanced diagnostic equipment

• Medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles

• Fleet service and repair

• Mobile service capabilities

• Box trucks

• Flatbeds

• Bucket trucks

• Commercial vans

• RVs and larger vehicles

• Diesel-powered commercial equipment

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose diesel engine and commercial truck concerns

• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics

• Diagnose engine performance and drivability issues

• Diagnose and repair diesel fuel systems

• Diagnose electrical and electronic systems

• Repair and replace engines and engine components

• Diagnose and repair transmissions and driveline components

• Service and repair steering systems

• Diagnose and repair suspension systems

• Service and repair brake systems

• Diagnose exhaust and emissions systems

• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles

• Complete oil and fluid services

• Inspect commercial vehicles for additional repair needs

• Utilize advanced diesel diagnostic software and equipment

• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs

• Perform emergency and breakdown repairs when required

• Participate in mobile or field service when needed

• Accurately document completed repairs

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous Heavy Duty or Diesel Technician experience

• Strong diesel engine knowledge

• Commercial truck repair experience

• Medium- or heavy-duty vehicle experience preferred

• Advanced mechanical diagnostic abilities

• Strong electrical diagnostic skills

• Experience with diesel diagnostic software and equipment

• Ability to perform complex mechanical repairs

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Experience using heavy-duty shop equipment and power tools

• Basic computer skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Professional and dependable attitude

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
