Technician Responsibilities
Responsibilities will be based on experience and certification level and may include:
- Perform maintenance and repairs listed on repair orders
- Complete oil changes, tire services, inspections, and routine maintenance
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems
- Use diagnostic equipment and Mazda special service tools
- Test-drive vehicles and verify completed repairs
- Inspect vehicles and identify additional maintenance or repair needs
- Communicate findings clearly with Service Advisors
- Complete warranty repairs according to Mazda requirements
- Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety procedures
Qualifications
- Entry-level through Mazda Master Technician experience considered
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Basic computer skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Willingness to learn new technology and repair procedures
- Automotive education or previous repair experience is helpful but not required for entry-level applicants
Preferred Experience and Certifications
The following are preferred for experienced applicants but are not required:
- Mazda manufacturer certifications
- Mazda Master Technician status
- ASE certifications
- Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions licenses
- Dealership or independent repair experience
Technicians from other domestic and import manufacturers are encouraged to apply. We provide fast-track Mazda training to help experienced technicians transition to the brand.
